Strawberry Lane BS5
Community Garden

Creating a space in nature for the BS5 community to learn to grow fruit and veg, relax and unwind.

Volunteer sessions are held on Tuesday & Thursday and the last Saturday each month from 11am -1pm.

Tools and gloves are provided. Most of us have no gardening experience but there is always guidance and help on hand. You can choose what to do and we work together in small groups. It's friendly, informal and fun.

In 2018 we rebuilt the veg beds and planted over 300 potted wild flowers (kindly supported and funded by Avon Wildlife Trust). With only instructions in Chinese we finally erected the polytunnel!

In 2019 we have even bigger plans. We hope to install a compost loo (waiting to hear if our Lottery fund application was successful), a shelter and an outdoor kitchen. The next project coming up is to help people with mobility issues by levelling the undulating ground and creating paths.

Volunteers will be involved with the best tasks - growing and picking fruit and veg! Come and join us.
